Description:		Digital recording of a short interview with Abur on the ʔalʉj Səlamad religion recorded in 2006. Geoffrey Benjamin and Abur had driven across to Ipoh and were sitting outside the hotel just beside the main road. Benjamin asked Abur to tell him everything he knows about ʔalʉj Səlamad, and Abur talks about where the cult began. Abur does not follow the religion himself. His wife and one son are Christian, his daughter is Muslim, and he and the other son are sceptical of religion but do take part in traditional ceremonies. Jabbar bin Salleh - Abur's Malay name. A very brief note about the recording session is found on p.111 of Notebook 12.
