This is an extract of the Temiar song 'Maɲak flower', as sung by Taaʔ Cəkolaag and chorus at Lambok, Kelantan. The remainder of the recording is yet to be found. This track was used by Benjamin in his 'Music-and-culture in the Malay World and beyond' keynote lecture in 2016, and is one of the tracks referred to in his Music and the cline of Malayness paper from 2004. No notes found in Benjamin's fieldwork notebooks about the recording. | |
