Description: A cultivated, aromatic herb. People sow it in their fields before the rice is sown. If the rice is sown first, the seeds of this herb will grow in the same hole as the rice, and the rice will not grow well. It should be sown around a big tree in the field, because there is a lot of ash around the tree trunk. People collect them and dry them for use in the hot season. The leaves and flowers are used as seasoning on all kinds of stew – except aca¬cia (crá) and Erythropalum (krlìiŋ) leaf stew – and also on chilli sauce with dry meat or loach (trlə̀əy) and in cucumber salad (sáa kíal). | ||
